NIA conducts raid at 19 locations across the country
New Delhi, Dec 18: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) launched extensive search operations at more than 19 locations across the country on Monday, targeting a radicalized jihadi terror group.
Sources within the agency reported that the searches commenced early in the morning and are part of an ongoing operation linked to the dismantling of a significant ISIS-affiliated jihadi terror network.
Last week, the NIA conducted searches at over 44 locations, resulting in the arrest of 15 individuals connected to the IS Module case.
In the course of these operations, the anti-terror agency confiscated substantial amounts of unaccounted cash, weapons, sharp implements, sensitive documents, and various digital devices.
NIA officials stated that the apprehended individuals were acting within India under the guidance of “foreign handlers” and had been actively engaged in terrorist activities within the country.
Sources said that raids are going on in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Delhi and Jharkhand.
